About Our CAD Services

In the Beginning

My career journey, commencing in 1977, has been a fascinating exploration of the design and CAD field. It all began with the art of hand-drawn sketches on a drafting board. During this time, I also took on the role of Adjunct Instructor at a local vocational college, sharing my knowledge with eager students in the Design Field.

In 1979, I transitioned into a role with a pre-engineered building manufacturer. It was here that I delved into the realm of computer-aided design, using mainframe computers to create intricate drawings.

Along Came AutoCAD

The year 1988 brought an exciting change in my career as I joined an engineering firm on the cusp of a technological revolution. AutoCAD, specifically Release 2.62, entered my professional life, running on the early-stage micro-computers of the time. The possibilities it offered were nothing short of fantastic.

In 1992, while working for a CD manufacturer, I took full advantage of AutoCAD, attending national conferences to expand not only my proficiency with the software but also my ability to develop custom programs that enhanced the efficiency of the AutoCAD environment. This was a significant leap forward in the world of CAD technology.

In 1999, I found myself in an architectural and engineering company, driven by the goal of maximizing CAD technology’s potential. The satisfaction I derived from this work was immeasurable.

In 2003, my career path led me to another division within the same company, where I accepted the role of CAD Manager. In this capacity, I was entrusted with the comprehensive management of all things “CAD,” overseeing a team of skilled designers and drafters.

Throughout my career, I consistently pursued individual architectural and engineering contracts, further enriching my expertise.

Post-Retirement

Fast forward to 2023, and I’ve made the decision to re-enter the workforce as a CAD Designer after having been retired for a few years. I’ve begun the journey of building a diverse client base, finding immense reward and fulfillment in my return to the workforce.

In summary, my career has spanned decades of immersion in design and CAD technology, from hand-drawn drafts to leading CAD teams. As I reenter the workforce in 2023 as a CAD Designer, I’m eager to apply my extensive experience to serve a varied clientele, and I’m relishing every moment of this new chapter.
