About
The Early Years
Hello. My life has been a vibrant journey, woven with threads of creativity and curiosity. Born and raised in the heart of the Midwest, my odyssey began with a patriotic call to duty. I joined the US Navy a couple years after high school, serving in the Vietnam War. During those years, Linda, a captivating girl I first encountered in a public library in my hometown, blossomed into my life partner and wife. We were blessed with three children, two sons and one daughter. During the following years, additional blessings came along in the form of three grandsons and four granddaughters.
The Working Years
Transitioning from the military to the world of design, I worked as an Architectural Designer. Through blueprints and structures, I honed the art of visual storytelling, setting the stage for the literary narratives that would blossom in the years to come.
After dedicating the lion’s share of my professional life to architecture, I’ve gracefully embraced retirement. Together, my wife, Linda, and I savor the golden moments of life, painting our days with the hues of love, laughter, and shared dreams.
The “Golden” Years
Yet, my journey doesn’t end with blueprints and sunsets. Ever since junior high school, I’ve been immersed in the world of music, learning to play several instruments in school and later, professional bands. Music is still a vibrant part of my life. However, beginning in grade school, the spark of storytelling ignited within me—a passion that only intensified with time. With an unyielding desire to share tales that captivate and inspire, I’ve blossomed into the author I always aspired to be. I invite you to join me in celebrating those tales.
